DOHIKU Barbless Fly-Tying Hooks

DOHIKU hooks were developed in Slovakia by passionate fly fishers with extensive knowledge and experience on the water. Their friend Igor Hríbik was the first angler to fish with and test the hooks, providing valuable feedback that helped shape the original designs.

Unlike many barbless hooks that are selected from a manufacturer’s catalogue and simply rebranded, every DOHIKU hook is designed exclusively by the DOHIKU team. Each pattern has been thoroughly tested by leading competition anglers and everyday fly fishers before being manufactured to DOHIKU’s specifications at the world-renowned MARUTO factory.

Made from high-carbon steel, DOHIKU hooks are hardened and tempered using a demanding process to provide lasting strength and durability. Every hook is also chemically sharpened to produce a consistently fine, reliable point.

In 2009, Milan Styk joined the original partners to help maintain the quality of these distinctive hooks and introduce them to a wider audience. A skilled fly fisher and businessman, Milan has played an important part in establishing DOHIKU as a brand now recognised by anglers around the world.

DOHIKU hooks are original, purpose-designed products—not repackaged or rebranded catalogue hooks. Designed by fly fishers, tested on the water and manufactured without compromise.
