Mallard Duck Neck Feathers

Kindale Mallard Duck Neck Feathers are naturally rich brown with distinctive white tips, offering a classic and highly effective natural material for a wide range of traditional trout patterns. The soft, finely tapered fibres provide excellent movement in the water while giving flies a clean, natural appearance.

These feathers are perfect for North Country spiders, wet-fly collars, nymph legs, and soft-hackle dressings, and are also fantastic for sedge patterns, where the brown-and-white contrast creates a beautifully realistic wing. For nymphs and wets, a small amount of superglue applied to the feather can be used to form a durable wing case over the back of the fly, adding both strength and definition.
