Black, anti-glare, strike indicators provide more contrast and are easier to see than other colors in highly reflective lighting situations. We’ve found that black indicators work well when the sun is lower on the horizon or under overcast skies that are reflecting on the water. For situations where the indicator is moving from water with a dark refection into an area with high glare we recommend putting two indicators on the line, one black and one chartreuse or white. The white or chartreuse indicator is easy to see in the dark area and the black indicator is easier to see in the high glare area. For example, we pared a medium black indicator with a small chartreuse indicator.
