Pearly Black Nomad – Size 10 (Barbless)

This pattern takes its name from the highly successful Nomad fly fishing team from the Midlands. The Pearly Black Nomad is a subtle yet deadly lure, offering lifelike movement with just a touch of pearly flash to trigger confident takes.

It fishes beautifully on a floating line when twitched very slowly, followed by a sharp pull of about a foot before allowing it to sink again—this is typically when the trout strike. It can also be fished extremely effectively on an intermediate or sinking line, where a fairly fast, twitchy retrieve brings the pattern to life.

A versatile and reliable stillwater favourite, perfect for both stocked and pressured trout.
